Greetings from your campkeeper, Becky! Tentrr is my newest way of sharing a place I love with others who would like to enjoy it's magic. Nestled at the edge of the White Mountains this beautiful campsite is only 1.5 hours NW of Portland Maine. It shares the property with a 1950's farmhouse we are in the process of restoring but is located with visual privacy from house and road. Spectacular star gazing on clear nights and then, whether you like to to stay up late, get up early or just wake for a quick bathroom break somewhere in the middle, you have a good chance of catching an ethereal fog that appears to blossom in the field outside your front door. Deer, moose and even black bear have been seen at the lower end of the 25 acre field - and "coy dog"/coyote or the whistle of a train occasionally add their voices to the valley. A creek bounds the lower end of the property* and beyond that is protected mountain view. (*which may involve wading through grass which grows higher than the water is deep to access depending on how recently the field has been mowed!) Family friendly amenities include 8x8' sandy area surrounding the fire pit which makes a bonus playspace when firepit not active. Bring (or pick up locally) a "kiddie" pool and you have your own private "beach" to occupy little ones while you tend camp or relax in the Adirondack chairs on the deck just above. Mowed area adjacent to tent is large enough for badminton, croquet etc. (BYO or sometimes available on site). Build a fairy house and/or search for ones left by others! Offsite, Bethel, is the perfect place to hike, kayak, tube, browse or buy antiques, local art, and other products. Take a quick stroll into the village to enjoy several delicious dining options, or check out our indy movie theatre or bowling alley on a rainy day.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!
Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.
Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows

Other Things to Note:
*We are currently operating with a 'reduced flame' policy meaning out of respect for fire concerns of neighbors: only gas campstoves or self starting charcoal, if using (i.e. no liquid lighter fluid), and/or commercial, wrapped logs in the firepit, used one at a time. Some provided on site, depending on trending state and local wildfire hazard advisories. (also available at town hardware and other stores or BYO)
**Pets are not allowed to wander freely away from immediate tent site or disturb wildlife in any way.
*** No hunting on property.
**** There have been bear sighted in the area (that seem to be primarily attracted by neighbors bird feeder) so I am asking that all food related trash be stored either in your car or in the garage by parking area a short walking distance from the tent site, overnight or when you are not in camp.
Finally, although the site is technically accessible by vehicle, because of increasing erosion on the hill leading to the site, I am asking guests to leave cars in the parking area and walk their stuff the short distance to the tent site. There are some resources available on site (like tarps you can load and drag etc.) if you find that helpful to minimize trips.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.
If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable).
